Canada’s Latest Express Entry Draw Sends Largest Number of ITAs

Canada has pushed up the number of Invitation to Apply (ITAs) with a total of 1,804 candidates invited to apply for permanent residency for Canada. The latest draw happened on October 19 and the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points went down to 475.

This is the second draw carried out by the government of Canada in the past 10 days. The Express Entry draw held on October 12 had sent invitation to 1,518 candidates with CRS points at 484. Both these two draws have shown a significant rise in the number of candidates being sent the Invitation to Apply, ever since the latest immigration system was introduced in 2015.

Two months back, the number of candidates that were sent ITA was hovering around 750. In the last two draws things have gone in higher gear as the companies with more ITA’s was being sent and CRS requirements going down. All the provinces are also activating their Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) at the highest level and are attractive more candidates in their pool.

As the end of 2016 is coming, it is expected that more ITAs will be issued by the department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This revelation has been made by a representative from IRCC at an event held in Edmonton held this year in May. By looking at the current trend, it looks evident that the government of Canada is delivering what it promised.
